• USG / USEC – Market was under pressure especially for transatlantic trips due to limited cargoes. Only few dirty cargoes ex East Coast offered some attractive options but they weren’t enough to support the market. Not many changes to expect for the upcoming week.

• ECSA – Balanced supply and demand led to an unchanged market. Although larger sizes had more options. For the next week don’t expect many surprises.

• CONTI – Baltic area and fertilizer cargoes were the leaders in the market and the rates raised. Wait market to keep this trend during the next week.

• MED – Market improved slightly as there was more activity and fixture volume. Expect market to remain firm for next week.

• MEG / INDIA – Improvements on rates were noted as the market was active, especially for Front Haul trips. Expect further increase on the rates for next week.

• SEASIA / FEAST – Aussie and NoPac supported the market with many requirements pushing the rates. Expect the market to remain in this trajectory for the next week.

SUPRAMAX

• ECSA – Market moved forward without any changes fixing at the same levels as last week. Tonnage list and cargo flow was tight as well. Expect market to remain firm due to limited supply.

• USG – Market was quiet for another week. Eventhough the week started with higher levels the rest of the week was slow. Market is expected to remain under pressure for next week as the cargo list is short.

• CONTI – Like the previous week the market developed due to stable tonnage list and more demand. Wait for the market to keep the upward trend for next week.

• MED – Market improved with many fresh cargoes and healthy fixture volume ex Black Sea and East Med, as well. Sentiment is bullish for next week.

• MEG / INDIA – Further improvements noted for MEG and Indian Ocean due to the strong competition between charterers to cover their shipments. Wait market to remain positive ratewise for next week.

• SEASIA / FEAST – Supply lagged behind demand in South and North, as there were many alternatives for the owners. Expect the market to remain firm for next week.
