On 10 July 2021 at approximately 12:50 hours (UTC time), the Master of M/V “GALAPAGOS” reported that his vessel collided in position Lat: 01 50.4 N - Long: 102 28.3E with the container vessel "ZEPHYR LUMOS” IMO No 009864227.

The vessel belongs to Primco LTD and she flies the Maltese flag.

She is a bulk carrier built in January 2010 and was en route from Singapore to Vizag, India in laden condition.

At this time, there have been structural damages to ship’s hull as a result of the incident. No injuries and no oil pollution have been reported. Crew (23 members) is in good state of health.

The Company has activated its emergency response plan, mobilized equipment and personnel to assess and address the incident and has notified all appropriate State and federal agencies. The Company is working with authorities, federal/state agencies under an approved plan, to investigate the case.
