Maran Gas welcomes LNG carrier “John A. Angelicoussis” to its fleet

05 Απριλίου 2022.

angelicoussispl23We are proud to welcome our LNG/C “John A. Angelicoussis” to the Maran Gas fleet, named in honour of our late Mr. John A. Angelicoussis.

The vessel was delivered on March 31st, 2022, by DSME and is the last of the series of vessels incorporating all the know-how and experience gained since 2018, when we took delivery of our first ME-GI LNG/C.

She has a cargo capacity of 173,400 CBM of LNG and is propelled by two MAN two-stroke dual-fuel ME-GI engines, featuring a full reliquefication system and equipped with Shaft Generators and an Air Lubrication System (ALS). Both systems perform excellently in reducing daily consumption by about 3.5 tons, with a corresponding equivalent greenhouse emissions reduction of about 25 tons per day, making the vessel one of the most energy efficient and low carbon emitting LNG carriers, and of course our Company’s crown jewel.

We wish her fair winds and following seas, and thank the Master, Officers, and crew on board as well as the team ashore and attending superintendents for the successful delivery.
